Dylan Hicks is a musician, and the author of now novels, Amateurs and Boarded Windows. He has written journalism, criticism, essays, and word puzzles for the New York Times, the Village Voice, Slate, the Paris Review Daily, and other publications. His group Small Screens is guitarist Zacc Harris, cellist Michelle Kinney, multi-instrumentalist Christopher Thomson, bassist Charlie Lincoln, drummer Peter Hennig, and Hicks on piano, vocals, and acoustic guitar.
